This is an adventure.

Thank you for visiting.

The purpose of this site is to share with you some ideas, research, creative output, and science-based insights that inspire and move me.

The is also a space for me to practice writing, and I’m sure my graduate supervisors would agree, I could sure use it.

I’ll try to update regularly, but in the meantime, here’s a quote from a great film, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou:

This is an adventure.

Yes, this is indeed an adventure.

Pictured below, this obviously homemade attire was also inspired by the movie:

MEASO thrilled to win a top prize!

Hey friends,

I just wanted to share with you some news that has got me tickled pink! I’ve just been awarded the Top Poster Prize for an academic poster I shared at the recent Marine Ecosystem Assessment for the Southern Ocean (MEASO) conference held here in Hobart, Tasmania in April. It was a wonderful experience to speak to a large and very engaging group of poster visitors about my research on the intra- and interspecific variation in isotopic niche widths and overlapping of Southern Ocean pteropods, work based on the research I conducted on the KAxis voyage of 2016.

Here is a smaller version of the poster:
